ImagineArt Review (2026): Key Features, Pros & Cons

Lokesh Kapoor by Lokesh Kapoor
October 15, 2026

0

ImagineArt’s Basic plan says 3,000 credits buy about 600 images. Choose Nano Banana 2.1, the first model in its image picker, and they buy 111.

Video is tighter. Seedance 2.5, Kling 3.0 Pro and Veo 3.1 aren’t on Basic at all.

Before writing this ImagineArt review, we went through its live price list and the fine print behind its unlimited generations.

Whether it’s worth your money depends on which of its 50-plus models you’ll use, and on a refund window that closes after three days.

Quick verdict: who should pay for ImagineArt?

Quick verdict: ImagineArt is one of the broadest AI creative suites you can subscribe to. One credit balance runs more than 50 models for images, video and audio.

Teams get more on top: three studios, a node-based workflow canvas, brand kits and plugins for apps like Photoshop and Figma.

The catch is the meter. The output estimates on the pricing cards assume the cheapest models. And the video models most people come for start on the $50 Ultimate plan.

Best for: marketing teams and agencies that want many models and repeatable workflows in one place, plus creators who mostly make images.

Not ideal for: solo video creators on a tight budget, or anyone who needs private generations and a long refund window on the cheapest plan.

The full score sits in the review box below, with the pros and cons. Weighing other options? We’ve also reviewed OpenArt and Higgsfield.

How we reviewed ImagineArt (and what we didn’t do)

Short version: we checked every public screen and policy page, but we didn’t generate anything.

Why not? Clicking Generate opens a sign-in wall, and judging output quality fairly means paying for a plan and running the same prompts across several models. That’s a separate test, and we’d rather say so than invent quality scores.

Here’s what we did on October 15, 2026:

  • Opened the image and video studios logged out, including both model pickers. Every screenshot in this review comes from those sessions.
  • Took US prices from ImagineArt’s pricing page and the price list it loads. From India, the same page shows rupees.
  • Read the help center’s per-model credit tables, the refund policy, the terms and the unlimited-generation policy.
  • Checked ImagineArt’s ratings on Trustpilot, the App Store and Google Play, and read its newest Trustpilot reviews.

So the score below rests on things you can verify, like what each plan includes and what each model costs. It doesn’t grade image quality.

How we make money: links to ImagineArt in this review are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. It doesn’t change our score or our verdict.

From phone art app to a 50-model studio

ImagineArt is an AI creative platform from Vyro that makes images, video and audio with more than 50 AI models. They come from OpenAI, Google, Black Forest Labs, Kling, ByteDance and others, alongside ImagineArt’s own models.

It began as a phone app for AI art, and that app is still big. The Android version lists more than 10 million downloads and a 4.2 rating from 441,000 reviews.

The web version has grown well beyond that. A switch at the top of the screen moves you between three modes:

  • Agent, also called Imagine Computer, plans and runs multi-step jobs, from research documents to simple websites.
  • AI Toolkit holds the image, video and audio tools, plus the Fashion, Ad and Film studios.
  • Workflow is a node canvas that chains models into pipelines you can rerun.
ImagineArt homepage pitching AI images, video and audio at scale for teams
ImagineArt’s homepage now pitches teams first, with a Talk to sales button beside the free sign-up.

Our take: the breadth is real, but you’ll use a fraction of it. Most people need one image model and one video model they trust. The real question is whether those two sit on a plan you can afford.

36 image models behind one prompt box

ImagineArt’s image studio puts 36 image models in one picker. They range from Google’s Nano Banana 2.1 and OpenAI’s GPT Image 2.5 to Midjourney V7 and ImagineArt’s own 2.0 model.

ImagineArt review screenshot: image model picker with Nano Banana 2.1, GPT Image 2.5 and ImagineArt 2.0
The image model picker, captured logged out. PRO models carry a lock, aspect ratios run from 1:8 to 8:1, and Visibility starts on Public.

You type a prompt, pick a model and an aspect ratio, then generate. The settings panel adds a prompt enhancer, a variations slider and a visibility switch.

Two of those settings matter more than they look.

Variations starts at 2. Every prompt makes two images and costs two images’ worth of credits. Drop it to 1 while you’re still testing prompts.

Visibility starts on Public. Private generations begin on the Ultimate plan, so on Free and Basic your images stay public.

References are where ImagineArt beats a plain prompt box. Add references lets you steer a generation with an image: a style, a color palette, a saved character or product, an effect or a camera angle.

ImagineArt’s own flagship, ImagineArt 2.0, generates at 2K in 14 aspect ratios and costs 25 credits an image. Its docs suggest drafting on ImagineArt 1.5, at 15 credits, and running only the final prompt on 2.0. That’s sensible advice for any expensive model.

Editing and upscaling sit one click away. The built-in upscaler starts at 8 credits, while the Topaz and Magnific engines cost more as images get bigger.

Our take: for images, the value is good. Even Basic includes current models like Nano Banana 2.1, GPT Image 2.5 Flare and Midjourney V7. If images are all you need, compare it against the picks in our best AI image generator tools roundup.

Where the video meter speeds up

ImagineArt’s video studio lists 37 video models, and the picker shows each one’s base credit cost before you choose it.

ImagineArt video model picker showing base credits for Seedance 2.5, Happy Horse and Wan 3
The video model picker shows base credits, frame options, resolution and clip length for each model. Seedance 2.5 starts at 150 credits for its default 4-second, 480p clip.

You can start from a prompt, a start frame, start and end frames, or up to four reference images. Beyond plain generation, the toolset covers extending and editing clips, captions, and an auto clipper that cuts long videos into Shorts and Reels.

Viral Remake rebuilds a trending video with your own characters or products. Lipsync Studio animates a portrait from audio with models like Kling Avatars 2.0 Pro and OmniHuman, the same job Hedra does with its own model.

Here’s where the meter speeds up. Base costs run from 30 credits for a five-second Wan 2.2 clip to 900 for Google Veo 3.1, and longer or sharper clips cost more.

Wait, does Basic get those models?

Only some of them. Hover a PRO model and ImagineArt shows which plans include it.

Seedance 2.5, Kling 3.0 Pro and Veo 3.1 start on Standard. That’s a $30 plan the help docs still list, but the pricing page didn’t offer it when we checked. In practice, you need Ultimate at $50 a month.

⚠️ Before you buy Basic for video: it only includes older models like Wan 2.2, Seedance 1.5 Pro and Kling 2.6 Pro. ImagineArt’s own pricing table also caps Basic clips at 3–6 seconds and 768p.

Our take: if video is the reason you’re here, budget for Ultimate from day one. Basic’s 3,000 credits cover about seven Kling 2.6 Pro clips a month.

Do you need the studios, Workflows and plugins?

Probably not if you work alone. The studios, the Workflows canvas and the plugins are built for teams producing campaigns, and they’re what set ImagineArt apart from simpler generators.

The three studios turn common jobs into guided screens:

  • Fashion Studio puts garments on AI models for lookbooks, catalog shots and editorial images.
  • Ad Studio makes image and video ads from a product, and URL to Ad builds one from a product page.
  • Film Studio adds camera controls like lens, focal length and aperture, plus multi-shot clips up to 15 seconds.
ImagineArt Ad Studio with image ads, video ads, URL to Ad and motion design tools
Ad Studio, captured logged out, with image ads, video ads, URL to Ad and motion design. The pricing page lists the studios on Creator only.

That last point matters. On the pricing cards, Ultimate, the $50 plan, doesn’t include the studios. You need Creator at $120 a month.

Workflows is a node canvas where you chain models, prompts and utilities into a pipeline. You can rerun it, schedule it or publish it as a simple app, and it ships with templates for listing shots and social posts.

ImagineArt Workflow home screen with starter templates for listing shots and model generators
The Workflow home screen offers starter templates by industry, from listing shots to a model generator.

One limit to know: unlimited-model perks don’t apply inside Workflows, so every node run costs standard credits.

Around all this sit brand kits that store your logos, colors and fonts, plus plugins for Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Figma, Framer and Shopify. An MCP server also lets assistants like ChatGPT and Claude call ImagineArt’s tools, billed to your credits.

Our take: for an agency, this layer is the reason to choose ImagineArt, and it points you to Creator rather than Ultimate.

What does ImagineArt cost?

ImagineArt costs $13 a month for Basic, $50 for Ultimate and $120 for Creator when billed monthly. Yearly billing brings those to $9, $34 and $83 a month, charged up front.

ImagineArt pricing in US dollars: Basic $13, Ultimate $50 and Creator $120 a month
ImagineArt’s pricing page in US dollars on monthly billing. The struck-through $55 and $168 are list prices, not what monthly subscribers pay.

A few things on this page are easy to misread.

It opens on yearly billing. The big $9, $34 and $83 figures are monthly equivalents of a yearly charge of $108, $410 or $1,000. The cards do say Billed yearly, but one recent Trustpilot reviewer still felt misled.

The -51% badge uses struck-through prices. Against the real monthly prices, yearly billing saves about 31%. Quarterly sits in between at $33, $125 or $300 a quarter.

Creator comes in two sizes. You get 45,000 credits for $120 a month, or 100,000 for $250 ($175 a month billed yearly).

Your country can change the price. From India, the same page showed rupees, with Basic at ₹839 a month billed yearly. Check the pricing page from where you’ll pay.

Credits refresh every month on every billing term, and unused credits expire at the end of the month. Top-up packs never expire, but you need an active subscription to buy them.

So what do 3,000 credits buy?

On Basic, 3,000 credits buy about 600 images only on 5-credit models like Z Image Turbo. On Nano Banana 2.1 they buy 111, and on Midjourney V7 they buy 50.

What 3,000 ImagineArt Basic credits buy on Z Image Turbo, ImagineArt 2.0, Nano Banana 2.1, Midjourney V7 and Kling 2.6 Pro
The pricing card’s 600-image estimate holds only for the cheapest models. Base costs come from ImagineArt’s credit tables.

Here’s the same math for both cheaper plans, using the base costs in ImagineArt’s image credit table and video credit table:

ModelBase creditsBasic (3,000)Ultimate (16,000)
Z Image Turbo (image)56003,200
ImagineArt 2.0 (image)25120640
Nano Banana 2.1 (image)27111592
Midjourney V7 (image)6050266
Nano Banana Pro, 4K (image)16018100
Wan 2.2, 5 seconds (video)30100533
Kling 2.6 Pro (video)420738
Seedance 2.5, 4 seconds (video)150Not on Basic106
Google Veo 3.1 (video)900Not on Basic17

Those are base costs at default settings. Higher resolution, longer clips, the prompt enhancer and extra variations all add credits. ImagineArt’s October sale also showed promotional prices on some models, so the app’s tooltip is the final word.

In dollars, a Nano Banana 2.1 image costs about 12 cents on monthly Basic, or 8 cents billed yearly. A default Seedance 2.5 clip costs about 47 cents on monthly Ultimate, and a Veo 3.1 clip about $2.81.

Two things work in your favor. Failed generations refund their credits automatically, and every video model’s base cost is visible before you click.

Here’s the catch: “unlimited” has an expiry date

ImagineArt’s unlimited generations cover specific models on Ultimate and Creator, each for a limited window. They also run one job at a time, with a daily cap on fast generations.

ImagineArt Ultimate plan unlimited models list with Runway 4.5, Kling 2.6 Pro and Seedance 1.5 Pro
Ultimate’s Unlimited Models list: 10 models, mostly older versions like Kling 2.6 Pro and Seedance 1.5 Pro. Creator gets 20.

Open the Ultimate card and you’ll see 10 unlimited models. Then read ImagineArt’s unlimited-generation policy:

  • Each model gets its own window. The policy’s examples are 7 days for some image models and 3 days for video models. After that, the model costs credits again.
  • One generation at a time. Unlimited runs a single active job, even if your plan allows 12 or 16 at once.
  • There’s a daily fast limit. Past it, you wait until midnight or move to a slower relaxed queue, on models that support one.
  • It doesn’t work in Workflows. Pipelines always pay standard credits.

That fine print is the most common complaint in recent Trustpilot reviews. One Ultimate buyer said the unlimited option vanished after a day. Another said it ran out fast and didn’t come back the next month.

A few other catches deserve a line each.

Basic keeps your work public. Private generations start on Ultimate. ImagineArt’s terms let other users view and use content shared publicly, so keep unreleased product shots off the cheaper plans.

ImagineArt Community gallery of public AI creations and top creators
ImagineArt’s Community gallery, where public creations can be browsed and reused by other users.

The refund window is short. Remember the three days from the intro? Here’s the rule.

Under the refund policy, you can ask within 3 days of a monthly or quarterly purchase, or 5 days for yearly. You also need to have used no more than 300 credits. Renewals get 3 days with a 50% deduction, and an admin fee may apply.

Web and app plans are separate. Your account and credits sync, but a subscription bought in the mobile app doesn’t carry over to the website, or the other way round.

Free plans come with strings. Free users must credit ImagineArt for commercial use, and the terms may limit free and trial output to personal use. Paid plans include commercial rights.

How to try ImagineArt without wasting credits

  1. 1
    Step 1 of 6

    Start on the free plan

Free accounts get 100 credits a day on standard models. Use them to learn the interface before you pay for anything.

  2. 2
    Step 2 of 6

Check which plans include your model

Hover a PRO model in the picker to see its plans. Pick your two must-have models first, then choose the plan that includes both.

ImagineArt tooltip showing Nano Banana 2.1 is available on Basic and higher plans
  3. 3
    Step 3 of 6

    Set variations to 1

The image settings start at two variations, which doubles the cost of every prompt. Raise it only once a prompt is working.

  4. 4
    Step 4 of 6

    Hover Generate before you click

ImagineArt’s docs say hovering the Generate button shows the exact credit total for your current settings.

  5. 5
    Step 5 of 6

    Pay monthly first

Refunds need a request within 3 days and no more than 300 credits used. Test a full month before you commit to a year.

  6. 6
    Step 6 of 6

    Use top-ups for busy months

Top-up credits never expire, so a pack can cover a heavy month without moving you to a pricier plan.

What do real users say about ImagineArt?

ImagineArt rates 3.8 out of 5 on Trustpilot from 1,245 reviews, 4.4 on the US App Store from 5,200 ratings and 4.2 on Google Play.

The Trustpilot spread is the interesting part: 60% of reviews give five stars and 19% give one. Only about one in five lands in between.

Happy users praise the model choice and the image quality. Unhappy ones mostly write about money: the unlimited windows, yearly billing they didn’t expect, and refunds.

A few also mention strict content filters and characters that change from one image to the next.

ImagineArt does respond. Trustpilot shows it replied to 85% of negative reviews, though replies typically take over a month.

Our take: those complaints line up with the fine print above. Read the two policies before you pay, and you’ll know exactly where those reviewers got caught.

ImagineArt vs OpenArt and Higgsfield

Credits don’t compare across platforms, because each one prices models differently. Compare what each entry plan includes instead, using our OpenArt pricing and Higgsfield pricing guides.

Pick ImagineArt if you need audio, studios, Workflows or plugins under one account. Pick Higgsfield if short-form video ads are the main job, or OpenArt if you mostly make images. Our Higgsfield vs OpenArt breakdown covers those two head to head.

Who should skip ImagineArt?

  • Solo video creators on a budget, because the newest video models start at $50 a month.
  • Anyone doing confidential work on Basic, because private generations start on Ultimate.
  • Buyers who want time to decide, because refunds close after 3–5 days and 300 credits.
  • Small teams that only want the studios, because they’re Creator-only at $120 a month.

If that sounds like you, start with our text-to-image generator picks instead.

Frequently asked questions

Is ImagineArt free to use?

Yes, with limits. Free accounts get 100 credits a day on standard models, while Pro models and all video generation need a paid plan. Free users must also credit ImagineArt for commercial use, so treat the free plan as a way to learn the tools rather than a way to produce client work.

How much does ImagineArt cost per month?

Billed monthly, Basic costs $13, Ultimate $50 and Creator $120 for 45,000 credits or $250 for 100,000. Yearly billing works out to $9, $34, $83 or $175 a month, charged up front. Prices can appear in your local currency, so check the pricing page from your own country.

Is ImagineArt’s unlimited plan really unlimited?

No. Unlimited generations cover specific models on Ultimate and Creator, each for a limited window; ImagineArt’s own examples are 7 days for some image models and 3 days for video. You also get one job at a time, a daily fast-generation limit and no unlimited use inside Workflows.

Can I use ImagineArt images for commercial work?

Yes, on a paid plan. ImagineArt says commercial use is for premium users and that free users must credit ImagineArt. You’re still responsible for trademarks and likenesses, and ImagineArt’s own FAQ notes that purely AI-generated art can’t be copyrighted under current US law.

Does ImagineArt offer refunds?

Only within a short window. You can request a refund within 3 days of buying a monthly or quarterly plan, or 5 days for a yearly plan, if you’ve used no more than 300 credits. Renewal charges get 3 days with a 50% deduction, and disliking the results doesn’t qualify.

Do unused ImagineArt credits roll over?

No. Subscription credits refresh every month on every billing term and expire at the end of each month, even on yearly plans. Top-up packs never expire, but you need an active subscription to buy them. Credits spent on failed generations come back automatically.

Are my ImagineArt generations private?

Not on the Free or Basic plans. Private generations start on Ultimate, and the image settings default to Public. ImagineArt says it doesn’t train models on your content without your consent, but anything you share publicly can be viewed and reused by other users.

Is ImagineArt better than OpenArt or Higgsfield?

It depends on what you make. ImagineArt has the broader toolkit, with audio, three studios, Workflows and plugins under one account. For mostly images or short-form video ads, OpenArt and Higgsfield scored higher in our reviews at similar entry prices, so compare the exact models each plan includes.

Is ImagineArt legit?

Yes. It’s built by Vyro, its Android app lists more than 10 million downloads with a 4.2 rating, and it holds 3.8 on Trustpilot from 1,245 reviews. Most complaints concern billing and the unlimited windows, so read those policies before you pay.

The bottom line: is ImagineArt worth it in 2026?

Our ImagineArt review lands on yes, if you’ll use the breadth. A team making ads and product videos gets 50+ AI models plus the studios and Workflows on one bill with Creator. That’s hard to match.

For solo creators it’s closer. Image makers get good value from ImagineArt’s Basic plan if they price their favorite model in credits first. Video makers should budget for Ultimate, because Basic leaves out the newest models.

One warning: start on monthly billing, not yearly. The refund window closes within days, and yearly plans are charged up front.

Your next step: open the model picker, find the two models you’d use most, and check that both are on the plan you can afford. You can try ImagineArt on the free plan to do exactly that.
