Agreeing to these terms

These terms apply to droidcrunch.com, which is run by DroidCrunch, an independent publication founded by Lokesh Kapoor in India (“DroidCrunch”, “we”, “us”). By using the site, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

They work together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Affiliate Disclosure and Editorial Policy. If they ever conflict, these terms take priority, except that our privacy documents always govern how we handle personal data.

Using DroidCrunch

You’re welcome to use DroidCrunch for your own personal, non-commercial purposes: reading, learning, comparing tools and making decisions. You must be at least 18, or have a parent’s or guardian’s permission, to comment, subscribe or contact us.

You don’t need an account to read anything. We don’t offer public registration, and team accounts are for DroidCrunch staff only.

Using our content

Unless we say otherwise, the articles, videos, screenshots, graphics, logos and design of DroidCrunch belong to us or to the people who license them to us, and they’re protected by copyright and other laws.

You’re welcome to

• read, save and print articles for your own use
• share links to our pages anywhere
• quote a short excerpt, with credit to DroidCrunch and a link back to the original article
• embed our YouTube videos using YouTube’s own share and embed tools

Please don’t

• republish, translate or repost whole articles, or substantial parts of them
• remove our credits or present our work as your own
• use bots, scrapers or other automated tools to copy our content in bulk
• use our content to train AI or machine-learning models, or to build a competing product, without our written permission

To ask for permission, email us and tell us what you’d like to use and where.

“DroidCrunch” and our logo are our trademarks. Other product names, logos and brands we mention belong to their owners. Mentioning them doesn’t mean we’re affiliated with or endorsed by them, unless we say so.

Information, not professional advice

Our reviews, comparisons and tutorials reflect our experience and research at the time we wrote them. Software changes quickly, and features, prices, plans and interfaces can change after we publish. Always check the details on the seller’s own website before you buy.

Tutorials that change a website, such as installing plugins, editing code, changing server settings or moving hosts, carry real risk. Before following one, make a full backup and, where you can, test on a staging copy of your site. You’re responsible for the changes you make to your own sites, accounts and devices.

Affiliate links and sponsorships

Some links on DroidCrunch are affiliate links. If you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We also publish the occasional clearly labelled sponsored article or video. Neither affects our verdicts, and our Affiliate Disclosure explains exactly how it all works.

Deals, coupons, prices and giveaways

Coupons, discounts, free trials and prices are set by the companies that sell the products, and they can change or end without notice. We check them when we publish and when we update, but we can’t guarantee that a code will work, that a price is current or that an offer applies to you.

DroidCrunch doesn’t sell products or process payments. When you buy something we’ve recommended, you’re buying from the seller, under the seller’s terms, and the seller handles delivery, support, refunds and warranties.

Giveaways we run or promote, for example through Gleam, have their own official rules. Those rules apply to the giveaway alongside these terms.

Comments and submissions

You keep ownership of anything you post or send us. By posting a comment, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish, display and store it on DroidCrunch, and to edit it for formatting or length without changing its meaning. You can ask us to remove your comment at any time.

Every comment is moderated. We won’t publish, and may remove, comments that are spam, self-promotional or stuffed with links, abusive, hateful, harassing, illegal or off-topic, or that share someone else’s personal information or content you don’t have the right to share.

If you send us ideas, tips or feedback, we’re free to use them without owing you anything. Guest contributions are covered by our Write for Us guidelines as well as these terms.

Things you must not do

When using DroidCrunch, you must not:

• break any law, or help anyone else break one
• try to hack, probe, overload or disrupt the site, or get around our security measures
• run vulnerability scans or security tests on the site without our written permission
• scrape the site at scale, or run bots that put a strain on our servers
• misuse our affiliate links, for example with fake clicks, cookie stuffing or automated traffic
• pretend to be DroidCrunch or a member of our team
• use our forms or comments to send spam, malware or unsolicited promotions

Found a security issue? Please report it privately to [email protected] with “Security” in the subject line, and don’t access other people’s data or disrupt the site while testing. We look into every genuine report.

Third-party websites and products

DroidCrunch links to, and embeds content from, other websites, tools and services. We don’t control them, and we aren’t responsible for their content, products, availability or privacy practices. A link isn’t an endorsement of everything on the other site, and your use of any third-party product or website is governed by that company’s own terms.

Changes and availability

We may update, rewrite, move or remove content, and change or pause any part of the site, at any time. We work hard to keep DroidCrunch online and accurate, but we can’t promise it will always be available, fast or free of errors.

Disclaimers

DroidCrunch is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we make no promises or warranties, express or implied, about the site or its content, including that it’s accurate, complete, current, fit for a particular purpose or free of viruses or other harmful components.

Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows, DroidCrunch and its team won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or business opportunities, arising from your use of the site, our content, the products or deals we write about, or third-party websites.

As far as the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim connected with the site is limited to ₹5,000, or its equivalent in your currency. Reading DroidCrunch is free, and this cap reflects that.

Indemnity

If you break these terms or the law while using DroidCrunch, for example by posting content that infringes someone else’s rights, you agree to cover the reasonable losses, damages and costs, including reasonable legal fees, that we incur because of any claim that follows.

Reporting copyright infringement

We respect creators’ rights, and we expect the same for ours. If you believe something on DroidCrunch infringes your copyright, email [email protected] with “Copyright notice” in the subject line and include:

• your name and contact details
• a description of the work you believe has been copied
• the exact URL on DroidCrunch where the material appears
• a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn’t authorised by you, your agent or the law
• a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you own the rights or are authorised to act for the owner
• your full name as a signature

We aim to respond within 7 days of receiving a complete notice, and we’ll remove or fix anything that infringes. If your content was removed and you think that’s a mistake, reply to our email explaining why and we’ll review it.

Suspension

If you break these terms, we may remove your comments, block you from commenting or contacting us, or restrict your access to the site, with or without notice.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site changes or the law requires. The date at the top shows the latest version, and for significant changes we’ll post a notice on the site. If you keep using DroidCrunch after an update takes effect, you accept the new terms.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If you have a problem with DroidCrunch, please contact us first and give us 30 days to try to put it right. Most issues are settled with a couple of emails.

If a dispute can’t be settled that way, it will be decided by the competent courts in India. If you live in the EU, the UK or another country with mandatory consumer protection laws, you keep those protections and may also be able to bring a claim in your local courts.

General terms

• Entire agreement. These terms and the policies linked above are the whole agreement between you and DroidCrunch about using the site.
• Severability. If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.
• No waiver. If we don’t enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
• Transfer. We may transfer these terms to a new owner if DroidCrunch is sold or restructured. You may not transfer your rights under them.
